i think i found the motivation in my life.

i was on the train to bedok this evening and despite the fact that i was standing, my eyes could hardly open and i was falling asleep-standing.

den suddenly, something flashed before my half-opened eyes and i woke up immediately!
i can hardly believe what was infront of me...

The whole Mr Bean was painted on a building- DAMN BIG!

although i only managed to see BIG BEAN for less den a min, i was totally awake and alert.. coz there's something for me to look forward to now... my dinner will be mr bean!
so after dental i went to bedok interchange to look for my mr bean and bought my standard meal.
shiok.
although it wasn't a very full meal (i was still hungry) but i feel sooooo satisfied after eating it..

so happy :)

she's right beside me, reading her pharmacy notes aloud, talking to herself and everything.
this scene..
so familiar.
yet so distant.

one year has passed and it's time our next batch of A Blockers are commanding.
last year, it was us commanding. at west coast park, going through all the obstacles in our blind folds and eating all the initiation food. so good.

i miss my hall days..

03a5b decided to have a mini class gathering cum benghao's birthday celebration last sunday (5th April 09). benghao was my 1st 3 months friend and we named him jay chou because he looks abit like jay and speaks like jay too!

okay, so they met at 11am at a ktv opp bugis junction and sang all the way till 6pm and it's only $20 nett. i joined them halfway through their ktv concert coz i went for my grad phototaking (remind me to blog about this next time).

anyway, after the ktv, we went over to bugis for dinner and we saw this hk cafe offering FREE MILK TEA for bdae celebrations. the milk tea was gigantic. like 1 month supply of bubble milk tea.

okay, i shall let the pictures do the talking :)

i think blogging is very impt.
esp when you're getting older and you tend to forget some of the meaningful events that cross your path in life- i'm sure some of you will agree with me.

i was talking to van that day and we realised that our memories are getting from bad to worse (but i think van's one is worse).
we can be talking about the same topic every single time we meet up.. and still can update each other until jin jin you wei kind. we're also starting to forget our friends' names and details of our shared experiences.
but the real bomb comes in when i asked her that day," eh van, which sports were you in when you were in JC?"

see what i mean?
yes. i need to start blogging. even if it's just writing the event's name as the title of the blog and nothing else..

last saturday, the gym gers met up and went to st.nicks chillout, to have our last ya1 tui3 session at the gym where we spent our 4 years of sec sch life.
we went there damn early so that we do not have to queue for the orange bowl stall (we cannot cut queue now because we have limited friends in the queue)
orange bowl has always been my no.1 fav in st.nicks, "uncle, 一块钱 bi3 tai2 mat4 干，不要豆芽, 多点肉和汤, 辣椒一点点"- shiok.along with our all time fav orange bowl, we also drank ice milo and ice tea and ate the $0.80 ham & cheese toast with alot of cheese :)

we wanted to end off the meal with the wed-only fried wantons.. we queued for 30mins and when it's finally our turn, the aunty told us all the wantons are sold out for the day!!! so sad! we din get to eat them (kelly was very sad she almost cried)!

after dinner, we walked around school taking photos and talked about our old sch days.. oh man. seriously, those were the days :)

at our gym- with the familiar smell of the carpetthis was the place where we shared so much.. so much tears, pain, fears and laughters. we still talk alot about all our china coaches (from teng lao shi to fan lao shi to huang lao shi) and all our training days. indeed, everyone went through alot of physical and mental hardship during the 4 years but u know what, whenever the gym gers sit down to talk about the old days, i can only see the smiles on their faces..

and now.. they're going to demolish this part of the school..

i'm going to miss the mats, the handstand bars, the ti1 tui3 mirrors, the tramp, the tiao4 ma3, the uneven bars, the beam, my hoops, clubs, balls and ropes & the china accent of our coaches.

BUT i won't feel sad and cry over the past, because i know i still have my gym friends with me..

10 years down the road, we might not even be able to touch our toes when we stretch, might not even bend 90 degree forward & backwards or even do a fake split..

but i know everyone will still come tgt, sit down and talk about the good old days.. with the familiar smile we had back in 1999- 2002.

i hate NDC.
seriously.. they suck.
i went there twice and both my experience were bad.
the 1st one made me cried and e 2nd one made me pissed- so pissed that i had to tell the dentist off.

i'm not being difficult or what. u shld know my customer-service trait is high. so i normally won't make things difficult for pple.
but the dentist and the nurses who attended to me were really quite... i can't find the words.

i respect them for their profession.. i know they've studied really hard, spent really alot of money on their educational life and took a long way to where they are today.
but it's time they know how to respect their patients- to treat them as humans, and not objects.

i was there today. to finish up my root canal.
initially i was quite afraid (coz e first experience was too traumatizing)... i was as meek as a dove.
but as time passes, my blood starts to boil.

firstly, the dentist was so rough.
when she needs me to turn left, she'll say "turn left!" and push my face towards that direction.
"tilt up!" and she'll just push my chin upwards.
when she operates on my tooth, she was using so much force and whatever and it hurts so much dat i HAD TO tell her not to be so rough.

secondly, u know the tube to suck out our saliva?
alot of times the nurse went to put the tube so near my oesophagus that it made me nearly vomitted.
in the end i had no choice but to initiate and take the tube from her and control myself while the dentist work on my tooth.

lastly, after opening my mouth for 2 hours, i was getting tired. but the dentist keep asking me to open my mouth bigger so that she can work on my tooth.
okay fine i understand, so in order to make things easier, i had to use my cheek muscles to make my mouth open bigger.. and u know what the dentist did?! she pinched my cheek and ask me to loosen up!
i know, quite funny.. but my chubby cheek hurts!

when everything ended, my face machiam like being slapped a few times.. it was PAIN. not from the surgery, but from the treatment received from them.

so here's a piece of advice for the dentist and the nurses:
i know u guys are friendly and is tryin to help and i really appreciate your effort for making my toothache go away.. but maybe u can learn to respect and treat the patients with a human touch. we paid alot you know.

when i pluck out my wisdom tooth at the bedok neighbourhood dentist, the dentist was soo nice! (pls refer to my previous post). my experience there was so much better then the NDC experience!!
the bedok dentist was so nice and friendly and will pre-empt you what he's going to do so that you won't feel scared or wad.. but NDC is like they dun even tell you what they plan to do.. all you see is the dentist holding on to the screwdrivers, pilers, injections and hooks and move towards your mouth. haix.

moral of the story: i highly recommend the bedok dentist. ask me for his contacts if you need!

i was an unhappy ger for the past few months..

i couldn't eat well
i couldn't smile well
i couldn't speak well
i couldn't sleep well

my toothace was more den i can take.. everynight i have to take pills to bed and u know i hate to drink water before i sleep! coz i believe in water rentention.. so can you imagine the hardship that i've been going thru for the past few months..

but now.. unhappy ger no more!
hahaha.. love the dentist that i visited today.
i gave him the permission to pluck out whatever he can and to do whatever he want to my mouth (ok sounds wrong but u know what i mean)

well, moral of the story:

take good care of ur teeth.. floss more often and visit the dentist like you visit the gym.

that night was seriously a blast.

from the start till the end, everything just happened in a flash..

initially there were some hippcups during the rehearsals and can feel tension in the air but as time approaches the start of dinner, everyone was really into their role..

i never felt so serious in planning things and ensuring that everything is in the right place.

the lights for each program have to be right, the speed of the food flow has to be just nice and also have to ensure that everyone is feeling good etc...

the whole night i can only rmb i was running up and down the ballroom in my *cok cok* shoes and didn't get to eat alot of food! and not much time to take photos..

but at the end of the day, all's worth it when Mr Sim commented that it was by far the best D&D he had attended..

yes!! we're finally going to have our annual dinner and dance tml.

it's an impt day for me because it's the first time i'm in e committee and have to liaise with the resort and events company.

the committee really spent alot of time and effort on this event and we really hope everything will go well!

our theme for this year is World Wide Friends and we have pple from India, Spain, America, China, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore etc. so we get to see costumes from all over the world.

why me.

why me.. i have to ask myself again and again on this question.

just when i've FINALLY decided to go back to hong kong.. to see my roomie, my hk friends, my hysan, my buo luo bao, my bakery, my kennedy town, my dim sums, my argly street and many many more, i have been asked by NDC to do wisdom tooth extraction and some other minor ops which will cost me a total of S$3K.

i'm feeling the recession.

and given with NO CHOICE, i'm sad to say.. bye bye hong kong, hello dentist.

i can't believe it's been a year since i've last posted!
okok! to summarize, 2008 was as eventful as 2007.. and i believe 2009 will be better :)

met up with the gym gers that day... and i found out that most of them have blogs! after 11 years of friendship, i just realised i've been mising out their little updates in life. so, i spent the whole night reading their blogs and i became very motivated to start blogging again (but not on a daily basis)!

ahhah so, to start off my 1st entry in 2009, i 'm glad to announce that...

i've decided to go back to hong kong.

i know this might be seen as a selfish decision.. but something in me is asking me to JUST GO!

as for all the problems.. i'll think about it when i'm back :)

i remember roomie saying this to me when we were on our way back from flora ho a few months ago.. "reality will strike u when u realised the desk and bed behind you are empty."
i remember ashley's sudden outburst," i'm going back to LA in 10 days!"
i remember vina asking me when is my flight.
i remember the night after our singaporean's farewell dinner, lynn called me to tell me how sad and emotional she was and how she's going to miss the hk life.
i didn't understand all these... until today.
reality finally struck me when i hugged rita goodbye. she's the last exchange i'm sending off.
I seriously hate this feeling when u have to send your friends off, knowing that u might never see them again in ur life.
i'm the next to leave now.
i miss the sound of laughters in room 1417.
i miss all the gossips we've shared and all the late night talks.
i miss our mass-drama period.
i miss watching TVB with the locals in the pantry.
i miss asking/answering the question "so what are we eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner"
i miss shouting out conversations during bath time.
i miss the sound of slippers along the corridors.
i miss the sound of the soccer ball, tennis and hockey from the guy's wing.
i miss kathy, purple and jen's "ngoh fan lai le!" every sunday night.
i miss waking up everyday saying good morning to amy.
i miss saying "no one's in ashley." "come in rita."
i miss arguing with 99 EVERY SINGLE NIGHT over who's english is better and many many more 'si dan' issues.
i miss cooking in the pantry.
i miss the daily visits of bakery.
i miss jogging with lynn.
i miss jogging with lynn to the bakery.
i miss going classes with peichun and attending the 'si dan' lectures.
i miss the dinners and tours with the singaporeans.
i miss the days i spent in Starr hall and LHT.
i miss the days we prepare for jay chou's concert.
i miss k-town, mongkok, tst, causeway bay, central, nathan road, fa yun gai, lan kwai fong, ladies' street, argyle centre, shenzhen and zhuhai.
i miss the bakery(every single one including maxims), student union, pretz, starbucks, $10 porridge, wanton noodles, cha chan ting, desserts, wellcome, park n shop, queen's mary, bay view, 7-11, pancake and all the roadside food.
i miss everything that i took for granted in these 4 months.
i miss all the memories we've shared in hku, subsidizers and with the exchanges.
i'm going to carry all these memories back with me now.. and keep it safely.
it' time to wake up.

our unplanned backpacking trip to china was a success!
even though we din plan much in advance, we managed to survive the journey.. and came back in 8 bags!

on the bus from shenzhen to zhuhai

we found a hostel at zhuhai which cost us arnd S$9 per night. for the price we paid, i seriously think this place is superb! even though we had to hug our bags to sleep every night!our own toiletthe big bedroomcheap cafe de coral!our 8 for S$1.60 xiao long baoschina's claypot rice lynn doing her hair extension for S$0.30 per strandour macau trip :)

this semester is really so short and seriously,
I've never enjoyed studying so much in my life!

oh and wenhao just went back to singapore today..
he was in hk since fri coz of work and we went lan kwai fong last night.
spent the whole night looking for a gay club and when we finally visited one, it was nothing much actually.. alot of ang mo gays.. big size.. with tummy and chest hair, hugging each other.
haha can't wait to go back to visit singapore's gay club!! i wonder how issit like..
and after that we just sat on the stairs outside the club and look at all the different types of gays..
and today, we went to esprit and he bought an esprit bag to put all his lao po bing inside..
hahah.. working pple are just so rich man.

my virgin concert

jay chou's concert was a blast.

even though we were sitting diagonally behind him, we managed to see his front view for most of the songs because he keep coming to our side of the stage and face me/us.
we were totally in the mood and everyone was so high!!

he is so talented. he can sing, dance and play so many musical instruments..

and guess who's the guest for the concert!!!

Fei Yu Qing!!!

yes!! they sang "qian li zhi wai" and it was soooo good. now i know why mommy likes him so much.
and fei yu qing claimed that he looked like RAIN when he was younger.. well, it makes me wonder if i have the same taste as my mom.

even though we did our homework and tried to learn his new album by hard, we still cannot remember the lyrics and so... we were sort of waiting for him to sing his older songs such as.. an jing etc..
and when he finally did sing, lynn cried.

at the end of the concert, the girls were all jayded.

val was jayded, peichun was jayded, i was jayded, lynn was obviously jayded too...
jay suddenly became everyone's bf.
so.. to stop the arguement, i've concluded.
"jay is shared among us."

i managed to sneak into val and pc's hall and spent my night there...

and we woke up to eat mac donald's breakfast today! it's so cheap here!

ah pa, ah ma, lynn, justina and meliyi! the new challenger hahahthe bottom of the mountain.. and so it begins...my first stepour journey up the first mountain...when i thot i wasn't going to make it up to the top, i turned around and saw this!

and so i became super motivated to climb! during the break...after 4 hrs...

I'm finally at the top of the world~the scenary there is really breathe taking.. and i can't describe it in words how it felt like standing at the edge of the mountain.

we were surrounded by many more mountains (yi shan hai bi yi shan gao) and we were wondering if this was the place they filmed all those gu3 dai4 show where the characters will fly from one mountain to another mountain..the singaporeans :)the 3 of us just sat at the edge and ate our lunch. the place was so relaxing. it felt like all my worries were left at the bottom of the mountain..

and after a few hrs, our grp leader pointed to the opposite mountain and said,

"our next destination..."and so, we packed our stuff and start our second journey..finally!!
'lo yan shan'7 hrs of mountain hiking was no joke man.

but the scenery was seriously damn worth it! this is why i like hong kong...

our next event would be.. to see sunrise.. at the peak :)

Rambler's Orientation!

our rambler's orientation was held in some kind of campsite which is in the middle of a mountain!

the journey there was almost 2 hrs and we had to walk up the mountain.. but the scenery there is damn nice!! imgaine standing at the top of 10 bukit timah hills!

after building our homes, we had to start preparing for the BBQ.

the gers were in charge of making pizzas!making pizzas in the wild, with strong winds blowin all the flour to our faceswhoohooo~ for tonight!my group mates:)there were stray cows walkign around EVERYWHERE in the campsite.. we had to walk past them when going to the toilets.

it seems like the locals there are so used to seeing cows everwhere..

only me and lynn were fascinated by the cows.. and it's damn scary!! it's not stray dogs.. it's COWS!this is what i call sunset.. this is the first time i BBQ a whole chicken! like those u see in dramas..

the campsite has NO LIGHTs.

it's pitch dark. we had to rely on our touchlights.

it's the 1st day of reading week.. and so, our floor decided to for floor outing!

the 2nd day, we had dim sum breakfast! omg.. i'll never ever ever forget this yum cha session in my life.. because the 3 of us ate HK$400 worth of dim sumS!

benjamin: our self- proclaimed xiao long bao eater ordered 3 longs of xiao long baos.. he's all ready to start the feast man.. but we shall see..

speaker 1: "eh.. what's this?"

speaker 2: "i dunno leh.."

speaker 3: "ahya, just try lah."

and so, we ended up with...

2 plates of egg tarts

2 plates of cha shao su

5 longs of baos

3 longs of xiao long baos

1 long of xiu mai

1 long of hao gao

1 big bowl of porrigde

1 bowl of wantons

1 plate of dumplings

1 plate of chilli dumplings

1 plate of zha rou baos

and a few plates of other dim sums.. (altogether arnd 27 plates)

happy dim sum eaters :)1 long of xiao long bao each!after 1 hr of yum cha-ing. the amount of food left on the table is the same as the amount of food the 4 families arnd our table are having.

there was too much food left and we resorted to eating the meat and throwing away the skins..

International bridge

i joined my hall's INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE CLUB.
say bye to german bridge and hello to international bridge!
hahah it was a fun and super tiring night learning and playing international bridge last night.

International bridge is different from the bridge we play back in singapore (german bridge)
for international bridge right..

Golden rule no. 1

You cannot talk.

and this basically makes the whole game damn difficult. because apart from the stock market game, i always find the need to talk in all the card games!

we cannot even speak when we do bidding. we have to communicate thru this special set of card and it's not just normal "i see i got alot of spades so i bid spades" kind of phenomenon.

everytime u picked a card out to bid, it tells your partner alot about ur card and how much "points" u have for each pattern (diamond, spades, heards, clubs)

so if u anyhow bid, ur partner (the guy sitting opp u) might think that u have alot of points and will respond to you.

so must think before u bid! dun anyhow anyhow "2 no tramp!"

anyway, I figured out that we cannot talk during the game is because it's internationally played and there might be some communication breakdowns if players were to communicate amg themselves. so maybe they set this rule to prevent any miscommucations. make sense rite.

Golden rule no.2
the person opp the guy who won the bidding have to open up all his cards and place it on the table.
he will den become the "dummy" and sort of like "don't need to do anything but just watch the game"
den the guy who won the bidding will play his own set of cards and at the same time, he have to control the card of the dummy. so yah the guy who won the bidding is playing 2 pple's cards.. and IT'S DAMN DIFFICULT. coz u're controlling the game and u have to think ALOT ALOT to make sure u make the right move and dun kill ur own cards.
so actually there's only 3 pple playing the game.

the guy who won the bet (sitting opp the dummy) VS the another 2 players (they're one team)

anyway we were so awed by the way the guy taught us how to play the game.. he can design the set of cards in such a way that there's only 1 winner and i really learnt alot from him
they're bridge club is like the dota gang in hall.. like play bridge everyweek and requires 101% of concentration.

after 2 hrs of bridge, i can feel my brain inside my head.. it's been a long time since i really concentrate and focus so much.. like enlightenment. haha
can't wait for the next session on thurs! whoohoo!

hey guys.. i'm back in hongkong :)yes, it's another 640am flight and I reached hk at arnd 1130am..

BUT I din go back to hall straight. I went to mongkok to walk arnd coz i dun want to go back to hall and sleep my whole day away and wake up in the middle of the night.. this is wad i called jetlag.

i went to explore mongkok on my own (and my luggage) and i realised there's so much more to this place! it's not just about mongkok center and women's street!

oh my oh my.. there's this whole building which sells cheap handphones! hk phones are so much cheaper can! (dun worry daddy, i'll control)

eh lynn, wanlin and val.. next time i'll be the mongkok tour guide le lah k. haha..

anyway, in order to resocialize back to hk, i ate 1 buo luo bao, 4 egg tarts and 1 packet of vitasoy for lunch.

i totally love hk's bakery man..

and mongkok has the best bakery!

wah i think i'm going to fall in love with guys who can bake!

who knows maybe 1 day i might fall in love with the buo luo bao uncle's son! hahah.. den i got buo luo bao to eat everyday! whoohoo!

okok back to my mongkok, i toured the whole place for a few hrs! actually i was lost but i managed to find my way back.. and when i reached my room, i was was greeted by this:

i also made some contributions to our door! it's quite obvious which 2 pictures are drawn by me.. i tried my best k.

anyway, this is amy crunchyrolling. and oh yah, her hero is jackey chan btw.while i was unpacking my stuff, wanlin came in and asked me to leave the room for a while.

The IFG (Inter-floor Games) Aquatics Meet 2007!

yes la! i finally gu qi yong qi and attended the first IFG today!

it was quite weird coz i was the only exchange who went.. the ice was soooo diff to break.. esp when it's canto ice.. BUT, i remembered wad gerald said so yah! must go!
eh, i'm not going to let them force me into a phantom k!!

and i'm glad to say by the end of the day, i managed to melt part of the ice :)

their IFG is very similar to KR's IBG. but coz our hall only has 1 block.. so we compete amg the floors instead.

each floor is called a village and in each village, there's 2 village heads (1 ger 1 guy)

in each village, there's a panty/lounge and 2 sides. 1 side is the ger's wing, another side is the guy's wings.

our female village head, comie the male village head, garyokay wad i want to say is.. i think he's really a leng zai.. yes. everytime i talk to him, i feel like i'm in TVB lo.. haha omg.

after months of working, travelling, playing, slacking and crunchyrolling... it's finally time to settle down and start reading about Sigmund Freud and his school of thoughts.

I dunno issit because of the yuan yang which i had for dinner last night or issit because it's the first day of sch and i'm damn excited.. i couldn't sleep for the whole night..

and so this morning, i woke up damn early and decided to walk to sch...

from my hall to sch.. it's a 20 mins walk, downhill

from sch back to hall.. it's a 40 mins walk, uphill

the 3 halls.. on the left (blue colour) is R.C Lee Hall. in the middle is Lee Hysan Hall (my hall) and on the right is Wei Lun Hall (gerald's hall)our hall is on top of a hill.. so the view is damn nice! but too bad my room faces wei lun hall instead of the sea.. haix.

this is another mountain (or hill) at the other side of the road
most of the buildings around here are built on the mountains.. quite amazing ah.
kennedy town. is like clementi in singapore.. a heartland area very near to sch.. 15 mins walk downhill from my hall.
i'm still very awed by this!! in order to reach kennedy town, we have to walk through Westwood.. a condominium with shopping mall downstairs.. we have to walk down this flight of stairs to get to kennedy town.
can u see kennedy town? it's right at the bottom..anyway, this is my first lecture in HKU!

my first bo luo bao in hk!the roadside stalls are built on super super steep roads... I spent most of the time looking at the ground. coz if u accidentally tripped, u might just roll all the way down man.my first ferry ride across to kwooloonvery very serious air pollution.our first kfc meal in hkshui liu shan's famous mango desserts vitasoy's new packaging! hk is a world of vitasoy!!

it's really a dream come true.. can't believe i actually went to Disney World in orlando!
and it's FREE somemore!the 3 of us at the main entrence of DISNEYWORLD (it's exactly the same as hongkong's disney) the guy who brought us in!! thanks eddy!

this is Walt Disney's (the guy who invented mickeymouse) brother i think.. he's the one who completed disney world coz it's Walt Disney's dream.. something like that. the super cool ride! it's an elevator ride which goes up and down up and down up and down..

the typical TURKEY LEG in all the theme parks.. USD$6.
qixun.. ur lilo and stitch.the aerosmith ride is the fastest ride i've even taken.the Little Mermaid live show which sprays water in the whole cinema to give us the under-the-sea effect!the incredibles!
the parade at night.. and the Magic Kingdom's fireworks :)

anyway, i'm going keywest this saturday!! can't wait can't wait!! and i need to update my miami trip too!! :) yup so more photos coming up!

and i grew fatter! thanks to all the chocolate pretzels, chips, free cookies, cakes, unlimited supplies of gummies and chocolate fudge and late night suppers man. that's it.

universal studio- island of adventure

went to Universal- Island of Adventure with syn yin, jingfen and benson! they really have the best roller coaster rides man!

a random street in universal orlando.. look at the buildings.. it's super nice! it's like every building has a theme and it feels like you living in a world of comic..

i finally sat The Hulk! omg it's a super cool ride! TOTALLY!! it goes up down left right and upside down! the ride was so fast until i got no time to feel the pain in my heart.. anyway i survived.

the Dual Dragon ride is good. they have 2 roller coasters going arnd the track at the same time. the tracks are on top.. which means we're hanging from the seats and it's floorless..

our first outing with some of the 2nd batch singaporeans..

it was really a super long day.. we met at 930am in the morning and by the time we reach our rooms.. it's already 430am..

we rented 3 cars and these are the places we visited:

-kennedy space centre

-cocoa beach

-krispy kreams

-daytona beach

-walmart

the beach looks like any other beaches just that the sand is not white.. the colour of the sand is like sesame paste that kind of colour.. maybe that's how it got it's name! and the beach is super clean..

we went down to the beach even though it was raining and freezing.. the funny thing is we saw a few ang mo gers wearing bikins playing in the water and we were wearing our jackets.. hahah and everyone starts saying.. stupid asians.

we reached daytona beach at around 2am in the morning.. and saw this sign at the entrance..

but we still went down to the beach.. we can't see a single thing.. can only hear the wave and feel the water..

we carried on with our plan.. the fireworks!

i was the cashier for 8.5 hrs today.

total amt short at the end of the day: $0.15 (good job jm!)

was concentrating and focusing the whole day! it's like having 1 full day of maths tutorial.. it's how stressful.
esp counting the change.. omg.
the 10 cent coins in usa is smaller den the 5 cent coin and i have problem remembering which one is which and the quarters (25 cents) is like our 50 cent coin in singapore... i have problem resocializing this new set of coins into my head man.
anyway.. there was once the queue was getting longer and longer and my stress level was getting higher and higher till the point where my brain just suddenly stop working.
my head just went blank and i couldn't count the money...
in the end the customer counted for me!!
but lucky everything turned out well at the end of the day!!

the thais and philippinos are leaving today..
just came back from their party..
wah they really very havoc leh! but i just keep eating and eating and eating and eating...
even though i only worked with them for like 3 weeks.. i still feel quite sad coz everything's going to be different.
i'll miss those days working with u guys.

florida mall

another off day-- alone.

so went to florida mall today (1.5hrs of bus ride) and the mall is HUGE!!
it's only one story high but it's spread across a huge area.. and i managed to finish walking one round around the mall in that 5 hrs.. hahah

the largest m&m's store i've been to!

but it's not! it's a cool shop! can learn surfing inside!

coz the asian food is simply too expensive!

this is why i'm going to get soo fat. fast food is soo much cheaper.

Universal Studio!!!

yo yo yo pple!! hahaha more pretty photos coming up! Went for social security trip this morning and (as expected) we woke up earlier and took the first shutter bus there! Coz our thai co-workers told us that if we’re e first batch to reach the social security place, we can end earlier and leave earlier.. reached back westgate at 12 plus.. and decided to spent the rest of our day at universal studio!
Omg… it’s really eye opening can!! We get to go thru all the Hollywood movie settings and effects.. real life and hands on experiences that movie stars went thru went they film those blockbuster movies!

shrek is the in thing in Orlando! coz shrek 3 is in cinemas now!

The “mummy returns” rollercoaster was fantastic. It’s super funny even though I was quite scared.. the roller coaster is not those very kong bu kind.. it was a busy ride coz there’s a lot of things to see around us and we went thru alot of effects like water and fire during the ride too! Wah seriously… it’s the best rollercoaster ride I’ve taken so far man.

Remember our childhood movies like Earthquakes and Twister?

we went to see the makings of these blockbuster movies.. it’s how cool! the effects are damn good!! It’s simply awesome lah!
The earthquake took place in a subway.. like our train got stuck in one of the train station when the earthquake occurs. Den got cars dropped down from the roof on top of us.. and got another train crashed into ours.. and there’s real fire beside us.. the coolest thing is the flood! The water (real water) just gushed out from the subway staircase and I was screaming my heart out coz i was sooo scared for my camera!! Hahaha.. was super funny when the train keeps rocking and shaking.. everyone was sliding along the seats coz there wasn’t any seatbelts!

The twister we experienced is also.. wow. I really dun have the words to describe it. When the twister came, the cars and stuff arnd us just flew away. There was fire and sparks around us.. the waterpipes bursts and water was poured on us.. and the super strong wind blew the cow away too! We went thru all the effects.. It’s just like we’re caught in a twist

our first visit to Mc Donald's in Orlando

we went to Macs for dinner and left downtown disney at 9 plus.. waited an hr plus but the lynx bus din come so in the end, the disney security guard had to fetch us to the bus interchange to catch the last lynx bus back to seaworld. but by the time we reach seaworld, we missed the last trolley back to our resort.. there wasn't any bus to bring us back also.. so we decided to walk back.
and u now wad?

all 3 of us forgot to bring the map.. so we had no choice but to follow our instincts and walk along the streets on the grasspatch( there's no path way for pple to walk)

the 11pm street here is so different from singapore's.

there's no one walking along the streets.. only cars and those "yo-yo-yo" motorbikes.

we were getting scared coz we realised we're in the wrong direction.. and there's was no cabs arnd and no one to turn to!
somemore a few days ago, 2 thai guys were robbed on that same street!!

in the end,we went to a nearby hotel to seek help..
we saw this guys (finally) at the hotel carpark.. we told him we're lost and desperately need help to get back to our resort..
He brought us into the hotel and told the receptionist to call a cab for us.. and he paid for our cabfare!

can u believe it! he's how nice.

finally reached e resort safely at 12 plus..

it's really a lonnng day man and a big THANK YOU to all the nice pple we meet today...

i'm stationed at the front desk and i get to prepare the food for the chef, endless cutting of fruits and vegetables, turkeys, hams and CAKES... everything done at the front counter.. so everyone can see me cut the stuff.. hahah if we cut the cake wrongly, it'll be ours :) and i've been eating lots and lots of cakes.. super nice!!! woohooo~

and i also have to take orders and serve customers at the same time!

in another words, i have to multi task! (guess this is the most challenging part for me)

but time passes very quickly.. esp during the peak period.. it's super stressful sometimes.. feel like pulling my hair everytime the orders come in when i'm in the midst of preparing food.. it's how confusing can!

but i can't pull coz we're not supposed to touch our hair when we're in the kitchen.. haha

the pple there are nice and helpful.. esp all my thai co-workers like Queen :)

thanks for teaching me how to cut turkeys and ham.. how to cut cakes nicely ( next time whose bdae ah.. let me cut the cake k) and how to make wraps, subways and sandwiches..

u noe wad? i'm going to open my own subway counter at home!! hahaha...

really learnt alot today.. it's good to step out of our comfort zones once in a while to experience new things..

and to u*, stop taking everything for granted. grow up pls.

hello everyone! yay! my first post for my blog!!

after so long! very irritating leh.. there's no internet connection here lah! have to take bus all the way out to this cafe to use the wireless.. hahaha omg so much happened in this week.. i dunno where to start!
